Why do we love pocket diapers?

First, they’re husband-proof! I feel compelled to make this the first benefit because, well, having hubby or any other care provider back your cloth diapering choice is important. And usually what makes them get behind cloth is making it easy for them. Even unstuffed, pocket diapers are easy enough that my husband can do them all on his own with very little direction from me.

Second, piggy-backing on being husband-proof, pockets are just plain easy. When stuffed, they go on just as easily as a disposable and stuffing them with an insert takes just seconds.

Third, baby’s like them. Why? Because pocket diapers are traditionally made with a stay-dry microfleece or microsuede inner layer making the diaper feel nice and dry against baby’s skin.

Fourth, and I’ll make this the last one but it certainly isn’t, they’re uber versatile. During the day you can use the inserts that come with the diaper but if you need more absorbency for overnight, you just add a doubler or a second insert. You can also stuff a pocket with pretty much anything – receiving blankets, prefolds, flats, or even a t-shirt if you’re in a pinch and an insert is nowhere to be found.
